Liza Cirlot Looser is the founder and CEO of The Cirlot Agency, an award-winning global brand strategy, integrated communications and business development firm with offices in Jackson, Mississippi, and Washington, D.C.

An active economic development advocate, Looser was named Volunteer of the Year by the Mississippi Economic Development Council (MEDC) in recognition of her significant contributions to economic development and industrial growth within the metro Jackson area. In 1998, Liza became the first female in the Metro Jackson Chamber of Commerce’s 116-year-history to serve as chairman of the board.

A graduate of Mississippi University for Women and Harvard Business School, Looser became the first woman to be named president of the Mississippi World Trade Center in 2010. She also received the organization’s highest honor, the Tozzoli International Business Leadership Award.

In 2016, Looser was named among Mississippi’s Top CEOs by the Mississippi Business Journal. Additionally, she received the Silver Medal Award from the American Advertising Federation of Jackson, which recognizes men and women who have made outstanding contributions to advertising.

Congratulations to our own Danny Gardner on being inducted into the
Southern Public Relations Federation Hall of Fame!

Danny Gardner has worked in public relations and related fields for more than 35 years, first in a university setting and now as a consultant and freelance writer. After beginning his career at the University of Mississippi, Gardner joined the staff in the Office of Agricultural Communications at Mississippi State University in 1981. He served in various roles at MSU, including leader of marketing and special projects.

Since his retirement from MSU, he has continued to follow his passions of writing and teaching. His syndicated column appears in hundreds of newspapers in 11 states, and he demonstrates the importance of effective communications as an adjunct lecturer in MSU’s Department of Communication.

Active in the Public Relations Association of Mississippi and the Southern Public Relations Federation, Gardner has served in virtually every local, state and regional office, including two terms as SPRF president.
