About PRAM

The best public relations practitioners in Mississippi are in the Public Relations Association of Mississippi (PRAM). The statewide membership consists of nearly 400 public relations professionals from every sector — advertising and public relations agencies, corporations, non-profit, government, education, industries and others. PRAM is a source of expertise and inspiration, and a forum for networking with public relations practitioners throughout the state and region.


About the Candidate

The Starkville/MSU Chapter of PRAM is seeking a motivated, energetic and highly organized individual to act as a part-time public relations intern. Excellent communication skills and a strong interest in public relations, social media and technology are essential to succeed in this position. Academic credit is available upon request.


About the Job

The Starkville/MSU PRAM intern will assist the executive board with its responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

  • Draft and post Facebook posts and tweets on behalf of Starkville/MSU PRAM
  • Create marketing materials
  • Help Starkville/MSU PRAM build a strong relationship with the MSU PRSSA chapter and students in the communication/marketing/graphic design fields
  • Attend executive board meetings and chapter meetings, each meet once a month, typically the second and third Wednesday of the month
  • Take pictures at events and record speakers (digital camera and video camera equipment will be provided)
  • Additional tasks as needed
